A lion in quiet procession, drawn in ivory against a deep claret ground.
Tess Lion Study No. 1 takes its cue from the heraldic animals, antique engravings and decorative emblems found throughout old European houses. Rendered in expressive, finely drawn lines, the lion has the character of an illustration lifted from an old book or discovered among an archive of historic drawings — familiar, stately and just a little eccentric.
The artwork sits against rich claret red Soft Velvet, a short-pile fabric chosen for its beautifully smooth hand and subtle lustre. As the light moves across its surface, the velvet shifts gently between deeper and brighter shades of red, lending the otherwise restrained design an added sense of depth.
Finished with piped edges and made individually to order, the cushion is designed to sit comfortably among collected interiors: patterned upholstery, antique woods, florals, tapestries and other pieces gathered over time.
Available in four square sizes, from a petite 12” accent cushion to an oversized 24” statement piece. Choose a polyester fibre pad, a traditional feather pad, or the cover alone.

FILLING OPTIONS
Polyester Fibre Pad — soft, plump and allergen-free, with an easy-to-maintain shape.
Feather Pad — a traditional, naturally malleable filling for a softer and more relaxed silhouette.
Cover Only — supplied without an inner cushion pad.
CARE
Machine wash at 30°C. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry. Do not wring. Iron on a low setting if required.
